Charles "Buddy" Butler made his transition January 13(?). Buddy was a husband, father, performer, playwright, musician, director, educator, Black Theatre activist and more. He was a life member of the BTN and a champion for Black Theatre everywhere. A more complete tribute has been shared by his colleagues at San Jose State University, which can be found here.
